Our 37 parks offer great recreational opportunities including boating and fishing. You can reserve a picnic shelter for your special family gathering or enjoy award winning festivals. Our sports programs and facilities challenge both the novice and experienced athlete. We offer programs and classes for all ages including before/after school programs. Discover the history of Newport News at our museums and historical sites. The Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center offers classes, performances, and exhibits.
The Student Freedom Pass allows youth 17 years old or younger to ride HRT Buses for free (this program replaced the "Ride On" program).
