1. What is Invoice Cloud?

If you wish to pay by credit card, we have implemented a new program, provided by Invoice Cloud, by which credit card payments may be processed over the telephone (24 hours a day, 7 days a week), or over the Internet. Pay from the convenience of your home or office. This program accepts Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover / Novus.

2. What is the fee for using Invoice Cloud?

The fee is based upon the size of the transaction. Normally, the fee is 2.95% of the total with a minimum charge of $2.95. Please note that all fees are paid to Invoice Cloud for the cost of providing this service. The City of Newport News does not retain any portion of this fee.

3. How do I pay over the phone with Invoice Cloud?

To pay by credit card over the telephone, simply follow the steps below:

2. Enter payment information


3. Enter credit card information

The system will then give you a verbal receipt number. The nominal fee for this service is 2.75% or a minimum of $2.95. If you have any questions, feel free to email the Treasurer's Office.
