The Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of Newport News presents the 2017 State of the City address on Tuesday, October 3 at Newport News Marriott at City Center from noon until 1:30 p.m. Mayor McKinley Price is the event's keynote speaker and this year's theme is "Building Our Future One Block At A Time." Each year Mayor Price on behalf of City Council takes this opportunity to highlight the city's accomplishments and progress, discuss challenges and share a vision for the future.
