6/22/17 UPDATE:
In reference to yesterday’s undetermined death, the victim was identified as a 51-year-old Newport News woman. There was no signs of foul play or criminal assault present to the victim. The Newport News Police Department is still awaiting autopsy and toxicology results.

ORIGINAL RELEASE:
On June 21, 2017, at approximately 11:01 AM, Newport News Communications received a call of a deceased subject in the 600 block of Ridley Circle. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female who was pronounced deceased by medics at 11:06 AM. At this time, this is an undetermined death investigation. The adult female hasn’t been positively identified at this time. Police are still on scene investigating.
