6/14/17 UPDATE: The victim in this accident has been identified as 27-year-old Arturo Cax-Hernandez of the no hundred block of Lewis Drive in Newport News.
ORIGINAL RELEASE:
The Newport News Police Department is attempting to identify a Hispanic male struck and killed by a vehicle on June 10th while attempting to cross Oyster Point Road at Jefferson Avenue. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. At the time of the accident, the decedent did not have identification on him.
The subject is approximately 5’5”, 150 pounds and possibly in his 20’s. The Newport News Police Department is attempting to locate anyone that can identify this subject, so next of kin can be notified.
