[ARCHIVED] Missing/Endangered

The Newport News Police Department is seeking information on the whereabouts of Keir and Chloe Johnson. Keir Johnson, 34, and her 8-month-old daughter, Chloe, were last seen on April 30, 2017 driving a 2013 black Kia Optima in the 1900 block of Hastings Drive in Hampton, VA.

On May 14, 2017, the vehicle Keir Johnson was operating was found in the City of Newport News, but Keir and Chloe remain missing. Since then the case has been turned over to the Newport News Police Department and our detectives are working around the clock to investigate this case and locate Keir and Chloe Johnson.

On May 11, 2017, an Amber Alert was issued for Chloe Johnson. The Virginia Amber Alert guidelines state Amber Alerts are to remain active for 12 hours unless there are extenuating circumstances. Since no new information has developed regarding their whereabouts, as of last night, May 18, 2017, the Amber Alert has been terminated by Virginia State Police.

We are asking anyone with information regarding the disappearance and possible abduction of Keir and Chloe Johnson to please call the Newport News Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Any information, no matter how small, could be what will assist us in bringing Keir and Chloe home. Crime Line callers remain anonymous and never have to testify in court. If your tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward up to $1000.
