HUNTINGTON PARK BOAT RAMP CLOSING FOR REPAIRS

Beginning Tuesday, May 2 through Thursday, May 4, the boat ramp at Huntington Park will be closed to the public so the City can complete emergency dredging operations inside of the ramp area. Sediment build up on the ramps has made it difficult for boaters to use. The rest of the park will remain open for normal use from sunrise to sunset. Huntington Park is located at 5500 West Mercury Boulevard at the foot of the James River Bridge.

Other public boat ramps in Newport News that are available for public use are:

Denbigh Boat Ramp - Located at the western end of Denbigh Boulevard. Open daily sunrise to 10 pm and provides access to the Warwick River.

Peterson Yacht Basin - Located at 16th Street and Oak Avenue. Open 24 hours and provides access to the Hampton Roads Harbor.
