UPDATE: The original information posted on 02/01/17, has been updated. Since that time, two (2) additional robberies have been connected with the Days Inn robber:
1. On Tuesday January 31, 2017 at about 5:00 am an unknown known man entered the Candlewood Suites motel at 329 Commonwealth Drive in Yorktown. The man in this incident implied he had a weapon and demanded money. He was described as a white male wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants, black gloves and an unknown object in his right hand wrapped in a black t-shirt.
2. On Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 2:13 AM, Newport News Police were dispatched to the Jamison Inn and Suites located in the no hundred block of Old Oyster Point Road in reference to a robbery that just occurred. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the front desk clerk identified as a 26 year old Newport News man. The clerk stated he was in the back room when he came back out to the front desk, and observed a white male standing with his face wrapped in a black t-shirt. The unknown male was wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants, and black gloves. The clerk advised that the suspect stated “Give me the money.” The clerk pulled the register out and placed it on the counter. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the area. There were no reported injuries and the investigation is ongoing.

On February 1, 2017 at 4:19 AM an unknown person entered the lobby of the Days Inn at 11829 Fishing Point Drive, and demanded money. The suspect jumped over the counter and back across the counter again demanding money. He/she then fled from the business without getting any money.
The suspect, described as a white male, wearing a large hooded sweat shirt, black hat, back gloves, blue jeans with the face covered.
