[ARCHIVED] Multiple Suspects Sought In Cab Robbery


On December 3, 2016 between 9:00 and 10:00 AM several unknown males approached and robbed a local taxi driver while the driver was waiting to pick up a fare in the 900 block of Taylor Ave. One man opened the driver’s side rear door pointing a gun. At the same time, the right rear door also opened and another man with a gun entered the taxi. The driver advised the males began yelling at him/her to give up the money. The driver complied. The men also took the driver’s phone and personal property of the driver from the trunk. One suspect is described as a black male in a dark hoody and wearing a gold looking bracelet on his right hand and held a small dark colored hand gun. A second black male wore a tannish colored hoody with dark sweat pants with stripes on one leg. He also displayed a handgun. The investigation is ongoing. Surveillances video shows multiple suspects.
