[ARCHIVED] 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union 11/25/2016 Robbery

On November 25, 2016, at 4:45 PM officers were dispatched to the 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union located at 12891 Jefferson Avenue, Newport News, in reference to a bank robbery. Bank employees advised an unknown woman entered the bank, approached a teller and handed a note which implied employees would get hurt if she did not get cash.  The teller complied and the woman left the bank on foot in an unknown direction.


An hour earlier (3:20 PM) a woman matching the same description entered the Old Point National Bank at 13801 Warwick Boulevard described as acting suspiciously. When asked by tellers if she needed assistance the woman left the bank in a white truck which was parked across the street.


At 1:04 PM a woman, again matching the same description entered the Wells Fargo Bank at 11006 Warwick Blvd. The woman looked around then left the bank without approaching tellers.


Obtained surveillance videos show the suspect enter and exit the three local area banks. The robbery occurred at the third (1st Advantage)

  • On November 25, 2016 at 1:04 PM - the Wells Fargo Bank at 11006 Warwick Blvd.
  • On November 25, 2016 at 3:20 PM - the Old Point National Bank at 13801 Warwick Boulevard
  •  On November 25, 2016 at 4:45 PM - the 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union located at 12891 Jefferson Avenue
