[ARCHIVED] Updated: A Message to our Waterworks Customers – August 5, 2016

We are not yet ready to say the recent water quality event is over. The good news is that the treatment adjustments made earlier this week to improve the taste of our water have been successful. However, some of our customers are still and will most probably continue to have some taste and odor issues as the water from the treatment plant blends with the water throughout the system.

Just a reminder, if you are still experiencing some taste and odor problems, you may want to let the water run for a couple minutes at each faucet and discard any ice made while the system was impacted. Thank you for your patience as we worked through this issue. The water continues to meet all Virginia Department of Health regulatory requirements and is safe to drink.
