[ARCHIVED] Riverside Golf Carts Stolen - Resulting in Property Damage

On July 08, 2016, at about 4:45 am police responded to the area of Groome Rd. and Jefferson Ave. in reference to juveniles driving golf carts. Officers located one unoccupied cart in the 11,400 block of Jefferson Ave., crashed into a white Chevy Malibu with Va. plates. An assisting Park Ranger located a second empty golf cart on the south side of the Deer Park, along the fence line. A third cart was located next to the Deer Park baseball field. The investigation revealed the carts belonged Riverside Hospital. Riverside Security at 500 J. Clyde Morris Blvd. was notified and they reported four (4) golf carts missing from the property. A review of Riverside security footage showed unknown individuals on the property in the same time frame as the calls of juveniles on golf carts. The footage also shows unknown individuals on golf carts leaving the property.
