[ARCHIVED] Stolen Credit Card Used to Defraud Merchants

On July 13, 2016, an unidentified black male, 5’10' in height, 180 lbs., entered the Hauser’s Jewelers, located in City Center of Newport News, and purchased a Rolex watch with a stolen credit card. The merchandise is valued at over $13,000. The suspect completed the transaction with the stolen credit card and a fraudulent ID. The victim is a York County man.

The same man was later spotted in Virginia Beach, purchasing two MacBook Pros from the Best Buy on Independence Boulevard. Each computer is valued at over $5000.00. He attempted another purchase at the Best Buy on Princess Ann Road. That sale was denied.
