Newport News City offices will be closed on Wednesday, November 11th, in observance of the Veterans Day holiday.
Garbage, recycling, and bulk waste collections for the holiday week will be as follows:
- Monday’s collections - as scheduled; no change
- Tuesday’s collections - as scheduled; no change
- Wednesday’s collections - Thursday
- Thursday’s collections - Friday
The Newport News Drop-Off Center and Compost Facility (i.e., landfill) will also be closed on Veterans Day.
