[ARCHIVED] Police Seek Suspect in 7-11 Robbery

On November 3, 2015, at 1:42 am officers were dispatched to 7-Eleven at 12300 Jefferson Avenue in reference to a business robbery. The night shift clerk indicated he had been robbed by a black male who assaulted him during the robbery with a beer bottle. The man entered with a hooded sweatshirt partially concealing his face. The man spent several minutes in the bathroom then called to the clerk stating the bathroom was flooding. The man then struck the clerk with a beer bottle, announced the robbery and demanded cash. The man stole packs of cigarettes and the entire cash register then fled on foot The victim (clerk) was transported to a local area hospital and treated for a non-life-threatening wound to his head.

The robbery suspect is described as a Black male, medium complexion, bald, 5’9”-6’0”, late 30’s – early 40’s, approximately 230 pounds, black hooded jacket, red pants.
