[ARCHIVED] Police Seek Wells Fargo Bank Robber

Newport News Robbery Detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred on Tuesday, August 12, 2015, at the Wells Fargo Bank.

Newport News Dispatch received a call at 12:41 p.m. stating a bank robbery had just occurred at the Wells Fargo located at 11006 Warwick Blvd.

The preliminary investigation reveals a black male entered the bank, armed with a handgun, wearing a mask. The suspect walked to a bank employee and demanded money. The suspect then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money and left the area on foot.

There were no injuries associated with this incident.

The suspect is described as a black male, between the age of 35-mid 50s, he was wearing a teal mask, dark shirt and pants and white gloves. He was armed with a handgun and was wearing a single-strap backpack.
