[ARCHIVED] Hot Diggity Dog

Hosted by the Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter, Hampton Animal Control, York County Animal Control, and Newport News Animal Services, Hot Diggity Dog will take place on Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter, located at 5843 Jefferson Ave in Newport News.

The Hot Diggity Dog event will include something for everyone. Children will be able to meet Animal Control officers, and get their picture taken in an Animal Care vehicle. Kid’s crafts, face painting, balloon animals, and refreshments will also be available. A scavenger hunt will take place in the shelter adoption areas to feature the adoptable pets.

This is a great opportunity for residents to tour the new facility, learn more about local animal care resources, and meet with animal services staff. Admission is free and open to the public.
