Newport News Parks, Recreation & Tourism will present a Father’s Day concert by the Virginia Symphony VSO Jazz ensemble on June 21, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at City Center at Oyster Point. The concert will showcase Big Band classics, including favorites by Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Glen Miller. A dance floor will be set up in front of the stage and lawn games, including corn hole, will provide an evening of fun for the whole family. Food vendors will sell dinner and snack items. Beverage sales (beer and wine) will benefit the Warwick Rotary Club.
Admission and parking are free. Blankets and chairs are allowed, no outside alcoholic beverages allowed. Pets are not permitted in the event area. For additional information, call 757-926-1400.
