Tevin Lamall Johnson, 24 of the 1300 block of Timberneck Drive in Surry, was taken into custody about 6:30 A.M. today by members of the US Marshals New York/New Jersey Fugitive Task Force at an apartment in Brooklyn, NY. Johnson is charged with two counts each of 1st degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He was also wanted for a probation violation. Extradition arrangements have not yet been made.

On March 19, 2015 at 4:42 pm Newport News Communications received a call in reference to a shooting involving two victims near the intersection of Christy Lane and Chester Road. Officers arrived and found victim #1 later identified as 26 year old Newport News resident Adrian Holiday sitting in the driver’s seat of a white Mercury SUV suffering from a fatal gunshot. Adrian Holiday was pronounced deceased on scene at 4:52 pm.
Victim #2 later identified as 23year old Newport News resident Jeremy Taylor was laying in the middle of the street suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. Jeremy Taylor was transported by medics and succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at an area hospital at 5:34 pm.
At this time the investigation is active and ongoing.
