[ARCHIVED] Robbery Suspects Sought in Robbery from Individual

On March 3, 2015, around 10:25 PM police were dispatched to 11715 Jefferson Avenue, In-town Suites, in reference to a robbery from individual. The victim, a 34 year-old Newport News man, advised he was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of the hotel. The victim stated he was unloading his vehicle when he was approached by two unknown black males. The men produced a firearm and stole the victim’s wallet along with personal property. The suspects fled the scene in a black sedan, last seen driving southbound on Jefferson Avenue.

After the robbery, one of the suspects was captured on surveillance video using the victim’s stolen bank card at a convenience store in Hampton. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 18-25 years of age, last seen wearing a black vest over a purple shirt, purple hat, and purple shoes.
