[ARCHIVED] Robbery Suspects Sought - Identification Requested

On Monday, January 5th at about 7:45pm, a male victim was walking in the area of N. Elm Court and Merry Oaks Drive in Newport News when he was approached by a Hispanic male and two other males. Suspect #1 pulled produced a silver handgun and demanded the victim’s valuables. The victim handed the suspect his cell phone, wallet and keys. Suspect #2 was a black male wearing a silver hoodie and approximately 6’0” tall. Suspect #3 was a black male wearing a blue hoodie and approximately 6’0” tall. All were in their early 20s.

On Monday, January 5th at about 8:20pm, a second male victim was walking in the area of Cypress Terrace and Teardrop Lane also in Newport News when he was approached by a Hispanic male and a black male. Suspect #1 produced a grey handgun and demanded the contents of the victim’s bag. The suspects then took the victim’s bag, which contained a cell phone and other personal items and fled the area toward Thorncliff Drive.

Detectives believe these two cases are related. The investigation has produced the following descriptions:

Suspect #1 – Hispanic male, mid 20s, 5’6”, 140lbs, mustache, last seen wearing a grey windbreaker with red stripe, dark sweatpants; armed with a grey or silver handgun
Suspect #2 – Black male, early 20s, 6’0”+, 150-160lbs, last seen wearing a silver hoodie
Suspect #3 – Black male, early 20s, 6’0”, last seen wearing a blue hoodie
