The 8K and all races are followed by the One City, One Celebration at the Superblock on Washington Avenue between 26th & 27th Streets which offers festivities, music, food vendors, free sports massages and a runner relaxation area.
All races – the One City Marathon presented by Newport News Shipbuilding, the Newport News One City Marathon Relay, the BayPort Credit Union One City Half Marathon, the Maritime 8K presented by Optima Health and the Nautical Mile Fun Run – take place on Sunday, March 1. The marathon and marathon relay start at Newport News Park at 7:00 AM. The half marathon begins at Menchville High School also at 7:00 AM. The Maritime 8K Run/Walk takes place on the same day at 10:00 AM, followed by the Nautical Mile at 10:30 AM.
