About 8:05 A.M. Wednesday, December 10, 2014, police and medics were dispatched to the area of Brick Kiln Boulevard and Jefferson Avenue to a report of a bicyclist being struck by a car that had left the scene.
The investigation has revealed that the victim, a man appearing to be in his fifties, was riding a bicycle eastbound on the right shoulder of Brick Kiln Boulevard and was wearing a reflective vest when he was struck by an unknown vehicle that did not stop. Medics transported the victim to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
At this time, the only description of the suspect vehicle is a red “sporty style” two door sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Cavalier or a Pontiac.
