National Train Day Celebration

“All Aboard” with the Friends of the Lee Depot at the annual National Train Day Celebration on Saturday, May 11, 2019, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., at the Denbigh Community Center. This celebration of America’s love of railroading will feature operating model train layouts of all scales, train merchandise vendors, costumed rail characters, live music, rail heritage presentations, give-a-ways, door prizes every thirty minutes and a raffle. Free children’s activities include trackless train rides, games and hands-on train displays. The event is free and open to the public. Food will be available for purchase. The Denbigh Community Center is located at 15198 Warwick Boulevard in Newport News.  The National Train Day Celebration is sponsored by the Lee Hall Train Station Foundation and the City of Newport News.
