All Newport News City offices will be closed on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Garbage, recycling, and bulk waste collections that would normally take place on Thursday, November 27, will take place on Friday, November 28.
The Newport News Compost and Drop-Off Facility (i.e., the landfill) will be closed on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28, and will resume normal operating hours on Saturday, November 29.
