[ARCHIVED] NNPD PILOTS “CHIEF ON THE GO” PROGRAM

Capture

Acting Police Chief Mike Grinstead will spend November 8, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the cul-de-sac of the 700 block of 34th Street, in the vicinity of Marshall Courts, in an effort to gather input, address current concerns and to get to know the community better. He will be in one of the department’s special vehicles, the Command Bus, and citizens are welcome to tour the bus.

The community is invited to stop by anytime during those hours and talk with the Chief who will be answering questions about the Department’s current crime prevention initiatives and programs, as well as be available to address other community policing concerns.

“I’m looking forward to starting this new program, which we’re calling ‘Chief on the Go’ and the opportunity to spend more time with our citizens - where they live - to help keep our great city safe,” said Chief Grinstead. Chief Grinstead stated that he will travel in the Command Bus to other parts of the city as well and hopes that people take advantage of this time for some one-on-one dialogue and interaction.
