The Mayor’s Initiative to End Bullying in Newport News has partnered with Parents Against Bullying (P.A.B.) for the P.A.B. 5th Annual 1000 Youth March on Sunday, October 1, from 2-5 p.m. The event takes place at Christopher Newport University’s Pomoco Stadium, 1 University Place in Newport News. The march is free and open to the public.
Nearly one in every four kids in the U.S. is bullied on a regular basis – approximately 13 million children are bullied each year in the U.S. alone. Bullying is not just something that happens in our schools, it occurs in community settings, at work, in neighborhoods and on the Internet. Take a stand to prevent bullying and join the youth march.
The Mayor’s Initiative to End Bullying is a city-wide campaign that strives to make schools and communities safe and supportive environments for all youth. Parents Against Bullying is a 501(c)3 that promotes community awareness about bullying prevention.
