April is Child Abuse Prevention Month! To kick off a month full of dedication to raising awareness and preventing child abuse, we invite you join us for our Pinwheels for Prevention Opening Ceremony. Look forward to a lively event at the City Center Gazebo across from the Fountain Plaza Two building.

Pinwheels for Prevention is a national campaign that encourages individuals and organizations to take action against child abuse and neglect. In partnership with Families Forward VA, we stand in support of promoting child development and raising awareness. As we a kick off to the month of April, keep an eye out for blue pinwheels gardens in multiple Newport News locations starting March 31 to promote positive parenting and great childhoods for all children.

After the ceremony, weather permitting, there will be a walk around the City Center fountain to symbolize our support of preventing child abuse and supporting the children in our community to have great childhoods.
