Event is this Saturday from 12-5 pm

The annual King-Lincoln Park Day is back this Saturday, June 3 from noon to 5 p.m. Enjoy an afternoon showcasing all the recreational opportunities offered at King-Lincoln Park (600 Jefferson Avenue) and the surrounding community. This free event features a broad range of activities for all ages including make-and-take crafts, t-shirt painting, free Bingo (ages 50 & up), community exhibits and live entertainment.
Bring chairs and blankets to relax and listen to live jazz music throughout the day while kids can get face paintings and play on the moon bounce, giant slide and obstacle course. Everyone can enjoy free sno cones, cotton candy and a cupcake walk, while supplies last. In addition, the Doris Miller Community Center is holding basketball contests for prizes and the Newport News Tennis Program is showcasing their Quick-Start Tennis Program. Get information on upcoming programs, events and activities from Newport News Parks, Recreation & Tourism staff as well as multiple community exhibitors.

Purchase food from a wide variety of food vendors selling seafood, barbeque, grilled cheese, funnel cakes, and other snack items. Admission, parking, and all activities are free. Pets, bicycles, skateboards, radios, and amplified sound are not permitted in the festival area. For additional information, call 757-926-1400.
