For Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurs
If you are a small business owner or an entrepreneur, join Newport News City Councilman Marcellus Harris as he presents a Social Media Networking Event at Bella’s Restaurant and Lounge located at 950 J. Clyde Morris Blvd. in Newport News.
On May 10 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Councilman Harris is providing the opportunity for small business owners and entrepreneurs to expand their networking capabilities by increasing their presence on a variety of social media platforms.
The Newport News Department of Development is joining Councilman Harris to share information about overall resources for businesses in the city. In addition, a representative from Building Better Futures, the City’s Youth and Gang Violence Prevention Initiative, is providing information about the Summer Training and Enrichment Program (STEP) that offers on-the-job training and mentorship to Newport News residents ages 16 - 24.
Attendees have the opportunity to be video streamed on social media to increase their networking range and utilize the social media marketplace. For more information about the event, call 757-273-2058.
