Huntington Park Boat Ramp to Close for Repairs

Attention Boaters

The boat ramp at Huntington Park is closing tomorrow, May 2, through Thursday, May 4, so the city can complete emergency dredging operations inside of the ramp area.boat ramp_sc Sediment build up on the ramps has made it difficult for boaters to use. The rest of the park is remaining open from sunrise to sunset. In the meantime, visit some of the other public boat ramps in Newport News available for public use. Citizens can use Denbigh Boat Ramp which provides access to the Warwick River. It’s located at the western end of Denbigh Boulevard and is open daily, sunrise to 10 p.m. Citizens can also use Peterson Yacht Basin which provides access to the Hampton Harbor. It is located at 16th Street and Oak Avenue and is open 24 hours.
