Saturday, May 20th is going to be a busy day for the

Newport News
Choice Neighborhoods Initiative! Join the CNI team from 10 a.m. to noon for a clean-up of the Marshall-Ridley Choice Neighborhood between 22nd and 16th streets and Jefferson and Marshall avenues. At the same time, Habitat for Humanity is holding an all-day
Home Repair Blitz for the Marshall–Ridley neighborhood. A Block Party at Marshall Early Learning Center, 743 24th Street, takes place from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. to celebrate spring, the clean-up efforts and provide a chance for neighborhood residents to network with their friends, neighbors and the volunteers.
Come one, come all and see the difference you can help make in a community. To sign up to volunteer for the Clean-up and Block Party, contact Carlton Ransom, Neighborhood Revitalization Coordinator at 926-8081 or email
cransom@nnva.gov. To volunteer for the Home Repair Blitz please go to

the
Habitat Volunteer sign-up page.
