Entrepreneur registration deadline March 31st
Showcase entrepreneurs are still needed to participate in the Gregory Cherry Eagles Soar Youth Summit Be Your Own Boss: Entrepreneurship on Tuesday, April 4, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Pinedale Manor Boys & Girls Club, 705 Adams Drive in Newport News.
The Summit exposes youth in the community to positive entrepreneurs and role models. Individuals are invited to share their entrepreneurial spirit and success, as “Showcase Entrepreneurs.” Geared toward high school youth, showcase entrepreneurs will provide the opportunity for interaction and discussion about the youths’ areas of interest in entrepreneurship.
There is no fee for participation but entrepreneurs will need to provide a table for their display or their information.

About the Summit
The Gregory Cherry Eagles Soar Youth Summit is a public event open to youth, from elementary to high school. The Summit provides opportunities to promote broad-based activities for youth in the community that improve their quality of life, increase readiness for productive citizenship, and motivate and inspire the youth to get involved with their community. The Summit offers rich and enlightening cultural activities that will increase access to and nurture community assets, cultivate neighborhood pride and create positive developmental assets and opportunities for youth in the historic southeast community.
