Join Sister Cities of Newport News on Saturday, March 18, from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Brittingham-Midtown Community Center for the

10th Annual GlobalBee International Quiz. High school, college, corporate and civic teams of up to five members each are invited to participate. All high school teams play and eat lunch for FREE! Registration is $50 per team for all others and includes lunch.
The GlobalBee is a competition of international trivia conducted in a silent, quiz format where teams answer on paper, not verbally. Trivia categories include Geography, Current World Events, World Religions, International Sports, Customs, and World History. The GlobalBee has five rounds of questions with 10 to 20 multiple choice and/or fill-in-the-blank questions in each round. There is no elimination process, and all teams compete in all five rounds. The team with the most correct answers will be declared the overall winner and presented the "Bill Williams Cup of Global Knowledge," named in honor of the late Newport News educator and Sister Cities' President. Additional trophies will be awarded to the top scoring College and High School teams. Past winners include PETA (Norfolk), ODU Peninsula Center Campus, Menchville Faculty, City of Newport News Staff, Warwick Faculty, and Sister Cities Newport News.
