Posted on April 15, 2016 at 9:04 AM by Communications Department

Newport News Waterworks Customers will have an easier way to pay their bills when the new and innovative online account management and payment system is launched later this spring. With enhanced security, mobile-friendly tools, and a more simplified eBilling process, the new system offers improved and easy-to-use features for managing accounts.

The first phase includes an upgraded payment website and improved e-Billing functionality. With a fresh, new look designed for clarity, and effortless online navigation, the new website will offer enhanced security, heightened account password protection, and a swift and easy payment option via secure text messaging. Additionally, the new system will provide mobile compatibility across any electronic device for payments on-the-go, the ability to maintain bill payment history, and simple click to pay emails to make payments without logging in online.

The second phase later this year will allow customers to submit service requests online. Once implemented, this will mean that instead of calling or visiting the customer service center, Waterworks customers will be able to place orders online for some of the most commonly requested services, such as starting, stopping, or transferring service; requesting billing adjustments for leak repairs; and requesting meter re-reads.

Customers should look for more details about the new system coming soon on the Waterworks website and Facebook page. Customers with questions should contact the Newport News Waterworks Department at 757-926-1000 or wwcustservice@nnva.gov.
