Olympic Gold Medalist LaTasha Colander Clark

is the keynote speaker for this year’s One City Marathon Pasta Dinner on Saturday, March 11 at 6 pm in the Marriott at City Center. Colander Clark, a native of Portsmouth, was a member of both the 2000 and 2004 United States Olympic Teams, and won a gold medal as part of the 4x400 meter relay team in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. She was also the U.S. champion in the 400 meters and was part of the relay team that broke the world record in the 4x200 meters in 2000. Colander Clark repeated as U.S. champion in the 400 meters the next year. In 2014, Mrs. Colander Clark was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.
Newport News’ own Dr. Desiree Williams, Miss Virginia USA 2016, will be the host for the event. Other guests that evening will include 2016 men’s marathon winner, Bryan Morseman of Bath, New York and 2 time women’s marathon winner Sika Henry of Newport News.
