Learn to Make A Rain Barrel and Save on Water Costs

Waterworks is partnering with the Newport News Master Gardeners, the Virginia Cooperative Extension Service and the Newport News Department of Public Works to offer rain barrel workshops again in 2017. A rain barrel helps cut down the amount of waterrain barrel_sc used and will help decrease your water bill because you are able to reuse rainwater collected. They also provide a ready supply for watering gardens, trees, washing cars, and more.

For $60 you can learn how to build, install, and maintain a rain barrel — and take one home! Workshops are scheduled for:
