Turn in old seats and receive $5
Did you know that an old or broken

safety seat could be putting a child in danger? To help keep young children as safe as possible, Drive Safe Hampton Roads has teamed up with many other businesses to conduct the
28th ANNUAL OLD, USED, BORROWED AND ABUSED CHILD SAFETY SEAT ROUND-UP for the month of February. Drive Safe Hampton Roads has found that many safety seats are old, have missing parts, have been recalled by the manufacturer, or are no longer crashworthy.
During February, families can bring old child safety seats to select Walmart Supercenters or to AAA Offices and receive $5. Drive Safe Hampton Roads and their partners will “round up” and recycle old child safety seats so they cannot be used again.
Event partners include Walmart, AAA Tidewater Virginia, DMV: Virginia Highway Safety Office, Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, WVEC Channel 13, Hoffman Beverage, and Waste Management of Virginia, Inc. If you have any questions about the Round-Up or traffic safety issues, please call us at 757-498-2562 or email
dshr@drivesafehr.org. With your help,

Drive Safe Hampton Roads can remove potentially dangerous safety seats from the public and help keep our children safe. Your efforts just might save a child’s life.
