Tamara Wellons and the Unifics
Throughout 2017, during the anniversary year of her 100th birthday, the city will honor the life and music of Newport News’ own, Ella Fitzgerald – “The First Lady of Song” during the Ella Fitzgerald Centennial Celebration.
On January 21, Tamara Wellons will perform Songs for Janie inspired by Zora Neale Hurston's literary novel, "Their Eyes Were Watching God."
