Aging in 2016: A Town Hall for Seniors and Caregivers

Are you part of the ‘sandwich’ generation – caring for children seniors_SCand parents at the same time? Are you a senior citizen who is interested in ways to remain as active and self-sufficient as possible? The Newport News Human Services Advisory Board is holding a Town Hall for Seniors and Caregivers on Saturday, April 16th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Denbigh Community Center, 15198 Warwick Boulevard. The town hall is free and open to the public.

The Board has invited geriatric specialists, providers, and representatives from across the peninsula to discuss topics that are important to senior citizens and their caregivers. Join experts from ENROLL Virginia, Newport News YMCA, Peninsula Agency on Aging, Promise Law, and the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board as they provide tips and information as well as answer your questions about Health, Active Living, Safety, Legal Issues, Community Resources and more.
