Officials from the
Building Better Futures Initiative, the City’s youth and young adult gang violence prevention initiative, have begun planning summer programming. The goal is to continue engaging youth by providing programs and activities in a safe and

fun environment. In order to make sure planning includes input from youth and young adults, officials have been making an effort to ask youth to take a
survey providing opinions on preferred programming.
The survey has been shared with various organizations, community groups, and City departments that engage youth. Officials specifically would like to hear from the youth and young adult population, ages 16-24. They are looking for additional support from organizations who may have access to this particular age group. Everyone is encouraged to share the survey link with young people and with any other adults and/or organizations that interact with youth.
The
survey will be available until the end of December. Those who complete the survey, will have the option to leave their contact information at the end for the chance to be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift certificate!
