Tax Payments Due December 5
Newport News Treasurer Marty G. Eubank wants to

remind citizens that personal property taxes, real estate taxes and stormwater fees are due on or before December 5th. Tax bills were mailed to taxpayers the end of October with amounts due, both current and delinquent, with details on how payments can be made.
Payments can be made in person at either of the Treasurer’s Office locations – City Hall, 2400 Washington Avenue, or the Denbigh Office, 12912 Jefferson Avenue. Both locations are open 8 AM – 5 PM Monday – Friday, and each location has a drop box for after hours payments.
Payments can be made online by check or by credit card. The
Easy Check program is allows taxpayers to pay taxes and fees online using an electronic check at no cost to the taxpayer. Payments can also be made online using your credit card. The Treasurer utilizes
Invoice Cloud for credit card payments, and Invoice Cloud charges a fee of 2.75% of the total transaction with a minimum charge of $2.95. Paying by credit card or using Easy Check is safe, secure, convenient, and eco-friendly.
The Treasurer also offers the
Easy Pay option for residents who wish to schedule pre-authorized automatic payments of their taxes on a monthly/quarterly basis or on the due date. With this option, taxpayers no longer have to worry about remembering to pay their bill.
