One City Marathon Weekend presented by Newport News Shipbuilding is just four months away! Are you ready? Well, believe it or not, now is the time to start preparing for the next round!
The One City Marathon was established to help bring the City together, promote local pride, encourage healthy lifestyles and gain greater exposure for the city. Over the past two years, we have witnessed people coming uniting; getting serious about their health; and having a greater appreciation for all the wonderful things that make this community special. The 3rd Annual Newport News One City Marathon Weekend presented by Newport News Shipbuilding will be held on March 10-12, 2017. There are four affordable races that you can
register for today. Rates increase as we get closer to March, so register early and save money!
Need more preparation for the One City Marathon, Marathon Relay or Maritime 8K? We have
official training teams with certified coaches to get you going that are starting up next week. And just in case you were in need of another incentive… the
first race established a tradition of supporting local nonprofits that improve the lives of families in our area. Help raise additional funds for our
2017 Official Charitable Partners by participating in the “Run for Free”Program! This program will offer runners an opportunity to raise a minimum, pre-determined dollar amount on the behalf of the charity. In return, a free race entry will be provided to the runner for their selected race.
