On Monday, November 14, Grissom, Bailey, and Main Street library branches in Newport News will close at 6:00 PM due to a technology hardware upgrade.
The scheduled maintenance will affect patrons’ ability to access some library services, and staff’s ability to process transactions. To decrease the impact on customer convenience, reminder notices concerning the closure will be placed at the checkout areas, on the Library’s website, posted on
Facebook, and email announcements will be sent to patrons. All library branches are anticipating resuming their normal business hours on Tuesday, November 15. Please go to the
