DAV 5K Run to Honor Veterans

On Sunday, November 13th at City Center at Oyster Point 701 Town Center Drive, join DAV, a Disabled American Veterans group for the DAV 5K Newport News Run to Honor Veterans. The Run to Honor Veterans begins at 9:00 AM and you can participate by running, walking, rolling or riding a motorcycle. The DAV 5K Run helps to raise awareness of the many issues that ill and injured veterans face every day.

There are a few ways to participate. You can register as an individual, join an existing team or start your own team. Don’t want to join a team? You can always participate as a volunteer! Registration fees include race bib, timing chip, and shirt unless otherwise noted on the website.

Immediately after the Closing Ceremonies, all participants are invited to continue honoring our military service men and women at the DAV 5K Post Party Fort at Cove Tavern & the Marriott City Center. Light snacks will be provided for all participants. The DAV 5K supports events in the Newport News area that help veterans and their families.
