The Virginia Living Museum brings back its

family-friendly Halloween celebration for the 17th year on Saturday, October 29. This is a not-too-spooky event for families with children ages 12 and under.
Discover pumpkin carving secrets. Enjoy live animal shows featuring fierce and not-so-fierce Halloween critters. Learn the ways of spiders large and small and see an assortment of creepy crawlies. Visit the tooth fairyland, magical cave and pirate cove. Take a nighttime hike along the outdoor boardwalk. Make creepy crafts and play Halloween games. There is even trick-or-treating for kids throughout the event. Kids of all ages are welcome - don’t forget to wear your favorite costume!
The Wild Side Café will be open before and during the event from 4:30-8:00 PM. Purchase tickets in advance and save. At 5, 5:45, 6:30 and 7:15 PM, rock to a laser spook-tacular with a short family-friendly version of “Fright Light” in the planetarium for an additional fee. For more information call 757-595-1900. Tickets are available at the museum and online at
the Living Museum.
