The Newport News Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NNRHA) is hosting its inaugural Vendor’s Fair on Wednesday, October 26, at Denbigh Community Center from 6:30 PM to 8 PM. The fair is geared for those interested in learning how to work with the housing authority as a contractor. They are working to expand their contracting opportunities to small businesses who may be looking for additional construction work and resources. Contractors can learn more about small business lending, resource opportunities throughout the city, and information relative to NNRHA's procurement process.

Topics covered at the fair include: registering as a vendor, the bidding process, federal labor standards requirements, insurance bonding and licensing requirement and more. This information will help to better navigate and understand the procurement process.
All general contractors, sub-contractors, and small business owners are encouraged to attend. NNRHA welcomes companies who specialize in providing all types of construction services and repairing of or installation of equipment. The fair is also beneficial to companies offering janitorial, painting, electrical, plumbing, masonry, carpentry, demolition, or landscaping services.
The Newport News Redevelopment and Housing Authority is only hosting the Vendor Fair once this year with plans to host the event again next year. To learn more about the Vendor’s Fair visit
