Submit a photo by Oct. 31st for a chance to win a $500 cash grand prize
The annual “ZOOM IN on Newport News” photo contest, sponsored by the Newport News Tourism Development Office, has returned for its eighth year and is open to both professional and non-professional photographers ages 18 and older. Entries will be accepted through October 31st.
This year’s theme is “The Picturesque Parks of Newport News” in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Newport News Park. Participants may submit up to five photographs, digital or film, in either the professional or the non-professional category showcasing the 30 plus parks found throughout the city. Photographs with people are encouraged.
The winning entry in both categories receives a $500 cash grand prize. In addition, two honorable mentions will be named and gifted a VIP Passport to Newport News attractions for four people, valued at nearly $250. Winning photographs may be featured in upcoming Newport News Tourism publications and on the City’s tourism website.
