Register to join the Newport News Tourism Development Office on Saturday, October 8th, from 9 AM to noon at the Virginia Living Museum for a free Reunion-Planning Workshop.
Getting together with old friends or family, this event teaches planning and organization of a successful and memorable reunion in Newport News. The workshop was created specifically to provide information and resources to community members who may be tasked with planning a reunion of any type. Key features of the workshop include:
· Planning ahead and staying organized.
· Finding a hotel that meets your reunion needs.
· Making the most of local attractions and activities when hosting your reunion.
· Finding the perfect restaurants, caterers, and picnic areas to suit your needs.
A vendor fair will be another component of the workshop. Throughout the morning, reunion planners have the opportunity to network with other attendees and visit vendor booths to meet with representatives from city attractions, hotels, restaurants and other hospitality industry partners.
