Mobile free clinic for the uninsured

In an effort to reach those in Hampton Roads who are uninsured, the Bon Secours Care-A-Van provides general medical care and referral free of charge to uninsured adults and children throughout the region. Services include routine evaluation and treatment of common acute illnesses. The Care-A-Van also offers sports physicals, children's health insurance enrollment and health education services.
The mobile free clinic on wheels is a collaboration among many community partners that include faith-based organizations, health agencies and free clinics. Care-A-Van is 100% funded by donations and the generosity of the community.

In September the Care-A-Van will be at the following Newport News locations:
• Tuesday, September 6 - Mary Immaculate Community Education & Health Resource, 2 Bernardine Drive
• Tuesday, September 13 - Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 144 Harpersville Road
• Wednesday, September 14 – Warwick SRO, 2410 West Avenue
• Tuesday, September 20 - Mary Immaculate Community Education & Health Resource, 2 Bernardine Drive
• Wednesday, September 28 - First Baptist Church Denbigh, 3628 Campbell Road

Registration at all locations begins at 8:30 AM and continues until the clinic is full. Additional October dates can be found on the Bon Secours event page.
